The Mets use five pitchers to beat the Phillies 3-0 in Queens, none of the pitcher allowing a hit. It’s the second no-hitter in Mets history.

The pitchers were not perfect, as they walked six batters and threw 159 pitches, but they did fan twelve batters. Brandon Nimmo made the big defensive play, a diving catch in the outfield.

Jeff McNeil got the big hit, driving in the first two runs of the game. That was all the Mets would need. Edwin Diaz in the post-game interview praises the coaches for preparing them against the Phillies hitters.
