The Royals lose ten players when they travel to Toronto due to a lack of COVID-19 vaccines. These are a number of their better players, and they’ll use minor league replacements to fill out the roster.

My two thoughts are:

• Casey Candaele John Schneider might get off to a really good start with the Blue Jays facing an already poor team with nearly half the MLB roster missing.
• It’s a chance for the Royals to see if the up and coming players in the farm system can play. If they have a good series, I wonder if some of them will stick on the big-league team.

Don’t be surprised to see trades before the series takes place.
