They Should Be Happy They are Miserable

Dave Tobener at SFGate.com finds the Giants miserable to watch:

The Giants suddenly look old, slow, and most damningly, indifferent. Getting swept by the Dodgers was awful enough on its face, but you would expect embarrassment at the hands of your blood rival would light a fire of some sort.

Instead, the Giants hardly put up a fight against the lowly Diamondbacks. There was no fire, there was no fight. Hell, even the D-Backs cooked up a fake Gabe Kapler quote to get them going. That’s more than you can say for the Giants, who couldn’t even muster a spark from something tangible.

Since starting 37-27, the Giants come into today 49-50, a 12-23 record starting June 19. They are batting .224/.307/.378 while allowing a .253/.320/.397 slash line. The Giants are walking a lot and striking out a lot, and that tends to be boring baseball.
