Lux Et Veribad

Gavin Lux tore both his ACL and LCL. That puts him out for the 2023 season. It looks like the job will fall to Miguel Rojas:

Behind Lux, the Dodgers are thin at shortstop. They were all in on letting the 25-year-old Lux handle the everyday duties at the position. Instead, it’ll be Rojas manning most of the innings at shortstop this season, with Chris Taylor and Yonny Hernandez also capable of handling the position. Rojas played 140 games at shortstop with the Marlins last season and is an elite defender at the position, but he doesn’t have the near the offensive ceiling as Lux.

Rojas hit rather poorly in 2022, and at seasonal age 34 he probably won’t get better. The Dodgers, strong up the middle for a number years, now have a weak spot at short.
