Patrick Sandoval takes on Nestor Cortes as the Angels and Yankees play a getaway day 4 PM start. Sandoval owns a 1.23 ERA after three starts and 14 2/3 innings. He walks six and struck out ten, so being selective may pay off against the Angels starter. He’s never issued an intentional walk. Cortes’s 2.60 ERA comes with a more impressive two walks and fifteen strikeouts in 17 1/3 innings this season.

On the west coast, the Mets mee the Giants with Kodai Senga facing Sean Manaea. Senga is off to a good start in his MLB career. In three starts he owns a 3.38 ERA with twenty one K in sixteen innings. Manaea pitched better than his 4.76 ERA with four walks and 13 K in 11 1/3 innings. He’s allowed few base runners, but the extra-base hits against him tend to come with men on base.
