Chase Anderson takes on Kutter Crawford as the Rockies and Red Sox continue their series at Fenway. Anderson pitched a very good year for the Brewers in 2017, but otherwise served as a back of the rotation starter. This season, he allowed few hits and few walks in 32 innings between the Rays and the Rockies. Six of the eight runs he allowed came on the five home runs against him. Crawford also tends to give up home runs, but with a .259 opposition OBP, eleven of the twelve extra-base hits against him came with the bases empty.

The battle of the upper mid-west features Corbin Burnes of the Brewers visiting Pablo Lopez of the Twins. Burnes pitched well against the Twin in his career, 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA in four appearances. He walked three and struck out 29 in 18 1/3 innings. At the moment, the Lopez for Luis Arraez trade seems to favor the Marlins, but Lopez’s overall number look better than his 4.24 ERA. FanGraphs has him with a 3.78 FIP and a 3.63 xFIP. He’s been hit with runners on base this season, so his high ERA is a bit situational.
