Best Batter Today

Shohei Ohtani and the Angels traveled on Thursday, and the two way slugger stays on top of the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. The Guardians did play, and Jose Ramirez collected a single and a walk for second place. Cleveland beat Oakland 6-1

Luis Arraez posted the same line for the Marlins and third place in the Rankings. He helped Miami to a 6-4 late comeback win over the Pirates. Pittsburgh lost ten games in a row now. The injured Aaron Judge did not play in the Yankees game and holds fourth place.

Juan Soto of the Padres reached base three times in the 10-0 win over the Giants. He collected two single and a walk to raise his OBP to .419.

The best game score of the day came off the bat of Garrett Cooper of the Marlins, a 75. He went three for four with a double and a home run, his three-run shot in the eighth inning putting the Marlins ahead for the win. Cooper is well off his career BA and OBP this season, but the power is still there as he showed last night.
