Shohei Ohtani of the Angels finishes June with fifteen home runs, half his total for the season, as he stays atop the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. His one for two with two walks, however, is not enough as Arizona takes the game 6-2. Ronald Acuna Jr.of the Braves hit his 20th home run of the season, part of a two for three night with a walk in a blow out of the Marlins 16-4. Acuna ranks second. In the same game, Luis Arraez of the Marlins went one for four to see his batting average drop to .390. He remains in fifth place.
Jose Ramirez of the Guardians drew a walk in a 10-1 drubbing by the Cubs for third place. Juan Soto of the Padres went three for five with a double, but the Padres lose again, 7-5 to the Reds in eleven innings. San Diego lost six games in a row.
Matt Olson of the Braves posted a game score of 91 on a four for four night in which he hit two home runs and missed the cycle by a double. He does not take home the best game score of the night, however. That goes to Mookie Betts, who collected four hits with two walks and two home runs, missing the cycle by the triple. That was good for a games score of 96, and that ranks as the second highest game score of the season. The Dodgers trounced the Royals 9-3. Olson now ranks seventh, Betts ninth.
