Best Batter Today

The Braves, Angels, and Padres did not play on Thursday, leaving Ronald Acuna Jr.and Matt Olson of the Braves in first and fourth place, Shohei Ohtani of the Angels in second place, and Juan Soto of the Padres in third place in the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. The Guardians did play, and Jose Ramirez went two for four with a home run to wind up in fifth place.

The best game score of the day goes to Francisco Lindor of the Mets, a 91. Lindor posted a five for five night missing the cycle by a double as he knocks out two triples and a home run in a 9-0 win over the Diamondbacks. Lindor is having a disappointing season in terms of getting on base, but he makes up a bit for it with power. He is heating up, however, with a .328/.414/.707 slash line in his last sixteen games. That helped raise him to 28th on the list.
