The Braves and Milwaukee play the rubber game of their series with Bryce Elder taking on former Braves ace Julio Teheran. Elder doubled his innings from last season. He decrease his walk rate, but is giving up more home runs. That means a slightly higher ERA, 3.31 compared to 3.17 last year. Teheran plugged an injury hole for the Brewers rotation. He’s showing excellent control with just eleven walks in 51 2/3 innings, but he did allow eight home runs.
The White Sox take on the Twins with Lucas Giolito battling Bailey Ober. Giolito had his problems with the Twins over his career. This will be his 23rd start against Minnesota, and he stands 8-9 with a 3.88 ERA. The Twins drew a decent amount of walks against him and dinged him for the long ball. Ober is just 2-3 at home, where he allowed seven of his nine home runs.
