Shane McClanahan of the Rays needs Tommy John surgery and will likely miss all of the 2024 season:

McClanahan left an Aug. 2 loss to the New York Yankees after four innings because the outside of his forearm tightened up while he was warming up.

The Rays ace fell apart in his last five starts, posting a high flying 7.77 ERA, giving up five home runs in 22 innings. It looks like the injury was building.
