Ranger Danger

Ranger Suarez of the Phillies completed five no-hit innings against the Marlins. He walked two and struck out eight. With 64 pitches thrown, he is working decently efficiently, and may be able to finish the game if the no-no continues.

The Phillies lead the Marlins 3-0 as they bat in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Update: Suarez strikes out two more in the sixth to set a new career high for Ks in a game with ten. He’s now at 77 pitches with the no-hitter intact.

Update: Dane Myers follows a walk to Bryan De La Cruz with a one-out double in the seventh to end the no-hitter. The Marlins trail the Phillies 3-0 with the tying run coming to the plate.

Update: The Marlins tie the game at three. Suarez won’t get a decision.
