The Major League Baseball Players Association opposed the implementation of the clock. From reading the article, batters seem to like it more than the pitchers. Fans appear to love it. It will be nice to get to bed at a decent hour even if World Series games start after 8 PM eastern time.
I remember when the clock came to AAA. I went to the Mud Hens opening. Within one inning I liked it. I could get home by 10 pm.
I wonder if more kids can attend games on school nights.
I regularly took my kids this year. The Orioles had 6:30 starts on weeknights when school was in session. Between that and the shorter games we could be home by 9:30. So much better than 9:30 being the 7th inning stretch.
