It would appear that players don’t like the new uniforms being manufactured by Fanatics. It looks like the union will step in:
“We are on the phone with the requisite parties that are involved in making that decision because we aren’t,” Clark said. “We’re trying to make sure our guys have what they need in the fashion that they need it. And it’s reflective of what being a major-league ballplayer should be reflective of.
“It’s an ongoing dialogue. Hopefully, we can get some things done over the course of the next six weeks of spring training. Because I’d hate to be in a place where we’re still having conversations about some of the challenges we have in that regard once the lights come on.”

It seems in trying to make the uniforms more comfortable in the heat, styling details were missed. I remember an episode of The Baseball Bunch where Reggie Jackson demonstrated how to properly dress for the game. He explained why and how to wear sliding shorts, what type of socks go on the feet, etc. When he got to the actual uniform, he explained how the platen of the shirt should algin with the fly of the pants so you had a clean line. Because it was important to look good.
In other words:
It’s better to look good than to feel good
And you look marvelous!
