Starling Marte picks up the first Mets hit of the year as he hit a line drive home run to left, right off the home run line on the fence. Marte’s power fell off over 140 points last season versus 2022, so getting his power back would be a great positive for the Mets. They lead the Brewers 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning.

Update: Christian Yelich of the Brewers homers to tie the game in the top of the fourth inning. Yelich’s power started to return last season, and the Brewers would love to see him return to a .500 slugger.
