Ryan Weathers of the Marlins and Reese Olson of the Tigers matched each other for eight innings, each allowing three hits, no walks, and no runs. Strikeouts were the only difference between the two as Olson K’d six and Weathers fanned four.

Weathers lowered his ERA to 3.81, Olson to 2.09.

The game went scoreless into the tenth, when the visiting Marlins scored on a Jesus Sanchez single. That was all that was needed as Miami wins 1-0. That’s tide for the second lowest closeness score* of the season.
