Today’s Roku game featured a slugfest between the Blue Jays and Tigers in Detroit. Tied at eleven in the bottom of the ninth, The Tigers had two on and two outs and a three- two count on leadoff hitter Matt Vierling. Vierling isn’t much of a power hitter, but he did come into the game tied for third place in the AL in triples with four. He already had three hits on the day, including his fourth home run. He took the three-two pitch and deposited in the leftfield seats for a 14-11 Tigers win. The four for six day raises his slugging percentage to a respectable .464.
