The Rockies tagged Ranger Suarez with his first loss of the season as Colorado beat Philadelphia 5-2. Suarez only allowed twelve walks coming into the game, but the Rockies drew four against him and made their three hits one a double and one a home run, count. One of the runs was unearned on a Bohm error.
Meanwhile, Cal Quantrill continued his good season, holding the Phillies to three hits and two walks, none of the hits for extra bases. He goes to 4-3 with a 3.53 ERA, excellent for a Rockies pitcher.
