The Red Sox throw Kutter Crawford against the Orioles and Corbin Burnes. Crawford is one of many pitchers who benefitted from the drop in home runs, as his rate per nine inning is down 50% from last season. Burnes does a fantastic job of limiting power with a .328 opposition slugging percentage this season and a .334 mark for his career.

Shota Imanaga of the Cubs faces Bryse Wilson of the Brewers. Imanaga brings his MLB leading 0.84 ERA into the game. Not only are his three-true outcomes outstanding, opponents are two for twenty two with runners in scoring position. Wilson, with a 2.86 ERA, is doing an excellent job of filling the hole opened by the trade of Burnes.

Finally, the Yankees face the Angels with Luis Gil battling Tyler Anderson. Gil allowed just 27 hits in 55 1/3 innings. That seems to have more than compensated for the twenty nine walks. Anderson also limited hits, giving up just 45 in 64 1/3 innings despite a low K rate of 6.16 per 9 IP. Opposition BABIP against him is just an unreal .209.
