Bobby Witt Jr.of the Royals used a three for five game with a triple to move into fourth place in the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. His triple in the ninth inning tied the Mariners at nine after the Royals were down 8-0 early in the game. He then scored the winning run as Kansas City takes the game 10-9.

Aaron Judge and Juan Soto of the Yankees remain 1-2 in the rankings. Judge collected two of the Yankees five hits in the game against the Dodgers, including a double, and added two walks. He leads the AL in both doubles and home runs, and is well on his way to becoming the 16th player to post 100 extra-base hits in a season. Judge’s performance was not enough as the teams played ten scoreless innings before the Dodgers prevailed 2-1. Soto did not play as he nurses an arm injury.

Jose Ramirez of the Guardians remains in third place after drawing a walk in a 3-2 Marlins win. Gunnar Henderson of the Orioles singled in five trips to the plate in a 6-3 win over the Rays for fifth place.

Blake Perkins of the Brewers hit the first two triples of his career to tie for the best game score of the day, a 73. His three for four also produced two RBI in the 10-0 win over the Tigers. Bryan De La Cruz of the Marlins went three for four with a double and a home run to match the 73. Twenty one of his 62 hits have gone for extra bases.
