Best Batter Today

Aaron Judge and Juan Soto of the Yankees remain atop the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. Judge homered in four trips to the plate, and struck out in the other three. Soto drew a walk in a 9-3 Red Sox win.

Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez of Guardians remain third and fifth. Kwan raised his batting average to .398 with a four for five day, while Ramirez remained on paternity leave. The Blue Jays prevailed 7-6.

Gunnar Henderson of the Orioles held fourth place with a home run in five trips to the plate in an 8-3 win over the Phillies.

Two veteran sluggers tied for the best game score of the day as Carlos Correa of the Twins and Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers both blast two home runs. Correa went three for five in game one of the doubleheader against the Athletics, won by Minnesota 6-2. Ohtani went two for three with a walk in the 3-0 win over the Royals.
