Orioles Send a Message

The Orioles take two out of three from the Yankees with a 17-5 blow out. Luis Gil of the Yankees came into the game with 2.02 ERA. After giving up eight hits, two walks, and seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, his ERA now stands at 2.77. The Orioles pounded the bullpen as well, collecting a total of 19 hits and seven walks, including six doubles and three home runs. Seven of the Orioles batters collected multiple hits. Their bullpen pitched 4 1/3 shutout innings.

The Orioles are just a game and a half behind New York.

Orioles have not lost an intradivisional series for the last 21 series, which ties the MLB record. The opponents of the other three team had a sub .500 record. Orioles’ opponents record is .549.

So they hold the record now.

The good news for the Yankees came from Aaron Judge, who returned to the lineup and homered.
