Due to a very bad afternoon weather forecast along the east coast, I am leaving out the uncovered games from that area.

The Reds took two of the first three games against the Cardinals and send Hunter Greene against Lance Lynn on Sunday. Cincinnati stands 3 1/2 games behind St. Louis for the third wild card slot in the NL. Greene pitched decently against the Cardinals in his career, although his 3.79 ERA resulted in just a 1-3 record. He only allowed one home run in 35 2/3 innings. Lynn pitched better at home this season, holding batters to a .229/.305/.363 slash line.

The Twins battle the Mariners with Joe Ryan facing Luis Castillo. Both come into the game with exactly 100 strikeouts on the season. Ryan’s K rate is down a bit from his career average, but his walk rate of 1.38 per nine IP is well below his career average of 2.10 per 9IP and stands at the third best in the AL. Castillo owns a 2.96 ERA at home, 4.59 on the road.
