The Mets finalized the trade with the Nationals for Jesse Winker today:
Minor league right-hander Tyler Stuart has been sent to Washington, the Mets announced Sunday morning, after news broke of the club acquiring Winker Saturday night.
The return at the time wasn’t known.

Winker posted poor BABIPs the previous two seasons, but brought it up to .315 this year. Combined with an increase in power, he became interesting to the Mets as they received poor offensive performances in both center and rightfield this year.
Stuart, at seasonal age 24 is not young, but he is a pitcher with good three-true outcomes. He never pitched above AA, however, and he may be old for that level. We’ll see how quickly he slides into the Nationals rotation.
