The Nationals sent Lane Thomas to the Guardians for three prospects:

Thomas destroys left-handed pitching and is batting .326 with a .922 OPS when facing southpaws this year. He is a career .306 hitter against lefties.

The Nats are receiving Jose Tena, Rafael Ramirez and Alex Clemmey in return for Thomas.

Ramirez and Clemmey are teenagers. Ramirez was great in rookie ball at age 17, he’s struggling a bit in A ball at seasonal age 18. Clemmey, also seasonal age 18, is striking out a ton of batters, but needs to find his control.
