Cole Ragans of the Royals outduels Corbin Burnes of the Orioles as Kansas City wins game one of their Wild Card Round 1-0. Ragans lasted six innings, striking out eight and walking none as he allowed four hits. Burnes went eight innings, the only run coming on a combination of Maikel Garcia walking and moving around the diamond one base at a time, scoring on a Bobby Witt Jr.single.

It’s a good day for road teams in AL, both grabbing a game one, but not home field advantage. Unlike the Tigers, the Royals have yet to start their best pitcher.
