Catcher Kyle Higashioka of the Padres gets San Diego on the board in the second inning with his second home run of the series. That ties the game at one, but opens the flood gates as three straight singles to load the bases are followed by a Manny Machado two-run double and a Jackson Merrill two-run triple. The Padres hit for the cycle in the inning and now lead the Braves 5-1.

Higashioka has some power, but two homers in two games is not what you would expect. He’s hit at least ten dingers in each of his last four seasons. He only had one post-season homer coming into this series.
