Guarding the Plate

The Guardians win game one of their ALDS with a 7-0 shutout of the Tigers. Cleveland pitching struck out 13, walked two, and hit a batter, giving up just four hits. Starter Tanner Bibee came out after 76 pitches as I suspect the Guardians wanted to conserve him for a later start in the series.

On offense, the rest seemed to help Steven Kwan who led off the bottom of the first inning with a double, and drew two walks. All in all, the Guardians collected seven hits, three for extra bases, and five walks to keep the pressure on Detroit.
