The Guardians and Tigers meet in a must-win game for Cleveland, starting at 6 PM EDT. Tanner Bibee faces Reese Olson. Bibee pitched 4 1/3 shutout innings in his post-season debut in the only win for Cleveland in the series. Olson nearly matched him in that game, allowing just one run in five innings. Unfortunately, he came in for an opener who allowed four runs before Olson got to the mound.

The Royals face elimination at home as the Yankees send Gerrit Cole against Michael Wacha, also a game one rematch. Neither pitched great in the game, but the Yankees bullpen out did the Royals relievers for the win. It was just Cole’s second no decision in 18 post-season starts. Wacha’s three runs in four innings did not help his post season ERA, now at 5.36.
