David Fry of Guardians comes up with a runner on third and two outs in the tenth inning and blasts a home run over the leftfield wall, and Cleveland beats the Yankees 7-5. His second post-season home runs raises his slugging percentage to .591, and he now has seven RBI in eight games. There will be no LCS sweeps as the Guardians guarantee a game five with the win.
It was weird, and very fulfilling, to watch extra innings without the ghost runner.
It certainly was a powerful last few innings, with the teams combining for four homers from the eighth on. It’s been a great post-season so far, with very few games with one team out of it late.
