Best Batter Today

Aaron Judge of the Yankees remains in first place in the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. He went one of five, his one hit a home run, and struck out three times. That okay performance kept Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers from moving into first place. Ohtani went one for three, his only hit a home run, but drew three walks on top of that for a game score of 67, the second highest of the day. He and Judge are now separated by about 1.5 points.

Juan Soto of the Yankees remains fourth after drawing a walk in five plate appearances. The Guardians take that game 7-5 in ten innings.

Mookie Betts of the Dodgers posted the highest game score of the evening, a 79. He went four for six with a double and a home run in the 10-2 win over the Mets. That moves Betts up to 48th on the list. Five of Betts’ ten hits went for extra bases this post-season
