Stanton Ties

The Guardians pushed another run across in the bottom of the fifth inning, the lefties in the Guardians lineup getting to Carlos Rodon and chasing him from the game.

Tanner Bibee got in trouble in the top of the sixth however, but it looked like he was going to get out of it. Gleyber Torres and Juan Soto singled, before Aaron Judge hit into a double play, putting Torres on third. Then Stanton had an impressive at bat.

Stanton swung at the first two pitches, both out of the strike zone, and looked bad doing so. Bibee, then kept going out of the zone, and Stanton took each pitch. Watching Stanton, I almost wonder if he set Bibee up by swinging at the first two pitches. Bo Naylor set up outside on the final pitch, just like he did on third pitch, maybe trying to fool Stanton. The pitch came right over the plate, and Stanton crushed it for his fourth home run of the ALCS and his fifth home run of the post season. That tied the game at two and chased Bibee.

On to the bottom of the sixth.
