Cole Done

Gerrit Cole of the Yankees gives up a hit to Teoscar Hernandez of the Dodgers leading off the bottom of the seventh inning. That means the end of the day for the Yankees starter, who allowed four hits and no walks, and struck out just four batters. Despite giving two triples on poor outfield play, New York did turn batted balls into outs in this game. They continue to lead the Dodgers 2-1.

Update: Clay Holmes comes in and hits Max Muncy to put two runners on.

Update: Enrique Hernandez bunts the runners over. It was a beautifully deadened ball near the plate. Will Smith follows with an infield pop, however, and Holmes comes out of the game.

Update: Tommy Kahnle comes on to pitch against Gavin Lux. He grounds out to second, and once again the Yankees defend their lead.
