Dye Dinger

Jermanine Dye gets the White Sox off to a 1-0 lead over the Tigers with a solo home run in the second. That’s the 300th round-tripper of his career.

Update: Konerko follows with a home run as well. The White Sox lead 2-1 in the top of the third.

That was also #300 for Konerko.

How often have two players hit home runs back-to-back that put them both at the same multiple of 100? Ever?

The announcers for the Sox said that Elias says that it’s the first time teammates have hit #300 in the same game, but I’d be surprised if you even need to cut it that close.
