Carlos Quentin started off 2008 surprising many, hitting seven home runs and driving in 21 in 25 games through the end of April. He’s off to an even better start in 2009. With a home run in today’s 12-2 win over the Rays, the White Sox outfielder already reached seven home runs and drove in 13 runs in 12 games. He’s slugging over .800 for the month, 200 points higher than last April. His 2008 season is looking less like a fluke and more like a maturation of his abilities.
