Jeremy Reed just tripled in the bottom of the eighth, the third triple in the game. In twelve games at Citi Field, the Mets and their opposition combined for 12 triples. In nine Mets road games, they’ve combined for four.

Reed’s triple hit an angled outfield wall and bounded past the outfielder to give Reed time to make it around to third. Until outfielders get used to the configuration, we might indeed see a lot of triples.
