Hill Homers

Aaron Hill hits a two-run homer off Baez in the 11th and the Jays take a two-run lead. We’ll see if they can hold this one.

Update: The Orioles get men on 1st and 2nd with one out, and Luke Scott singles to right to drive in a run and put the tying run at third with where a sacrifice fly can tie the game.

Update: Nolan Reimold hits a deep fly ball, so deep it leaves the park! The three run shot sends the Blue Jays to their ninth straight defeat, 12-10. Unbelievable. In thirteen games, Reimold has four home runs and 9 RBI, and is slugging .531. He was slugging .743 at AAA this season.

If Reimold (or Jones, or Markakis — talk about the best young OF in MLB) played in NY or Boston he’d be a household name based on his destruction of AAA pitchers earlier this season.

And Wieters reports to the bigs on Friday. Once all the O’s stud minor league starters get promoted the rest of AL East won’t know what hit them.
