One Run or 21, A Win is a Win

After getting blown out Monday night, the Reds come back to take a close game, defeating the Phillies 4-3. Brandon Phillips drove in three runs with two homers to bring Cincinnati back from a 3-0 deficit. In the top of the ninth, Joey Votto doubled and Ramon Hernandez singled to pin a loss on Brad Lidge.

J.A. Happ pitched well, striking out seven and walking none in seven innings of work for the Phillies. He came into the game with a high walk rate, so if he’s starting to gain control, he might move his pitching to a whole new level.
