LA’s FAs

Manny Ramirez and Orlando Hudson, two of the Dodgers free agent signings, combined to go 5 for seven today against the Brewers, Manny hitting two doubles and Orlando two home runs. Hudson started strong, but after three homers in April, he’s only hit four since. Manny, however, is now 11 for 29 since returning from his suspension with five extra-base hits. He continues with an OBA over .400 and a slugging percentage well over .600. He’s walking a bit less, however. I wonder if the opposition thinks he’s not as dangerous off steroids?

The Dodgers take the game 7-4 and finish the first half with the best record in the majors, two games better than the Red Sox.
