Chico Harlan surveyed some of the Nationals players about the Stephen Strasburg deal:

A few of the Nats players I’ve talked to or texted with since the deal went down believe — uniformly — that this was an excellent deal with the club, and very reasonable. I don’t think Strasburg will face much animosity within the clubhouse.

Actually, I don’t think a big deal would have upset them that much. If Strasburg forced a lot more money out of the Nationals, other players would eventually use that to raise their own salaries. (If you pay an unknown quantity that much, then I, a known quantity, deserve even more.)
