Hammering Carpenter

The Braves scored six runs off Chris Carpenter in the third inning today, as the Braves collected six hits and a walk, all with two out. Carpenter is still in the game after five innings, but his ERA is up to 2.41, which puts him behind Tim Lincecum. Atlanta leads 6-0.

Update: Carpenter gives up another run in the fifth and ends the day with a 2.45 ERA. The Braves lead 7-0 as Javier Vazquez is throwing a two-hitter through six with no walks and six strikeouts.
