Rick Porcello pitched poorly in July, posting an 8.79 ERA in just three starts. Since the start of August, however, he’s returned to form with a 4-1 record in nine starts and a 3.40 ERA. He’s walked just 11 in 50 1/3 innings. That includes the Tiger’s 7-2 win over the Blue Jays today. Porcello appears to be heading smoothly into the playoffs.
