Troy Tulowitzki collects his second hit of the game in the bottom of the third inning, an RBI single that extends the Rockies lead over the Brewers to 2-0. He’s now hitting .298 with a .377 OBP and a .552 slugging percentage. The Rockies formula seems to be as simple as, if Tulowitzki hits, Colorado wins.
Garrett Atkins follows with a double to make the score 3-0.
Update: Manny Parra walks in two runs, including a walk to pitcher Aaron Cook, and the Rockies take a 5-0 lead in the third. If they win this game they clinch at least a wild card berth.
The Brewers just haven’t been in the game today. Parra had a particularly hard time – he clearly wasn’t having fun out there at all.
