Vlad Guerrero leads off the bottom of the seventh with a walk. Howie Kendrick pinch runs, steals second, but two outs, one on another great play by Lowell keeps him at second. Finally, Maicer Izturis singles up the middle to drive in Howie with the go-ahead run, and the Angels take a 2-1 lead. That was only the fourth hit of the game for LAnaheim. The walk was the only one issued so far by Beckett.

Update: After Izturis steals second, Beckett hits Mike Napoli.

Update: The Red Sox leave Beckett in one batter too long as Erick Aybar triples over Jacoby Ellsbury’s head to drive in two and give the Angels a 4-1 lead. Francona comes out to get Beckett, but the damage is done.

Update: Aybar hit nine triples during the regular season and just five home runs.

Update: Billy Wagner comes on to face Chone Figgins.

Update: Figgins strikes out to end the inning. The Angels are six outs away from going to Boston up 2-0.
