The Nationals promoted Stephen Strasburg to AAA on Tuesday.
Strasburg put up solid numbers in five starts with Double-A Harrisburg. He went 3-1 with a 1.64 ERA, striking out an Eastern League-high 27 and walking just six in 22 innings.
He also ranked first in the Eastern League in strikeout-to-walk ratio and strikeouts per nine innings.
For those of you looking to see Strasburg outside of Syracuse, he should be pitching in Pawtucket, RI on May 17th and Scranton on the 27th or 28th.

This is a bit of an understatement. In his first five professional starts, after being automatically placed at Double AA, Strasburg is a razor-thin ERA and has proven he can win games. Small sample size, but “astronomical” instead of “solid” might be a better adjective. 🙂
