One Win for Each Toe in Ozzie’s White Sox

The White Sox shut out the Cubs 6-0 to extend their winning streak to ten games. Jake Peavy goes seven shutout innings, extending his scoreless streak to 16 innings. He’s only allowed four earned runs in 30 June innings, walking five and striking out 20.

Lou Piniella had some harsh words for Carlos Zambrano, who blew up at the end of the first inning:

Zambrano could be facing some serious discipline from the Cubs.

“It’s unacceptable behavior is what it is,” Piniella said after the game. “He was upset that some of our players didn’t dive for those balls.

“He was ranting and raving and out of control. I had a discussion with our general manager to see what we do. I couldn’t tolerate it.”

I would not be surprised if the team suspended him.
