Jackson in the Seventh

Edwin Jackson gave up a hard line drive to Jason Bartlett leading off the seventh, but it went right into Mark Reynolds‘s glove. Jackson then gets a pop up and a fly out to keep the no-hitter intact. He’s thrown 117 pitches. He did go over 130 pitches once in his career.

Update: The Diamondbacks have a reliever warming up in the pen. This makes sense. I don’t think Jackson is coming out, if he gives up a hit Hinch will pull him immediately. It’s still a 1-0 game, so when Jackson gets tired, he shouldn’t be left in to blow the game.

Then again, this is the Arizona bullpen we are expounding.
