Ian Kinsler came into today’s game against the Astros with a slugging percentage lower than his OBP. He turned that around Saturday afternoon with a home run and a double, raising his slugging percentage to .378, the same as his OBP. It was just the second home run of the season for the Rangers second baseman, who hit 31 last season. If he starts to come out of this power slump, the Rangers are going to look that much better for winning the AL West. Today they simply won, 7-2.
