Shaun Marcum and Justin Masterson matched goose eggs through three innings. Marcum allowed one base runner on a walk while striking out four. Masterson gave up three hits, including two doubles, but stranded all three runners.

Update: Marcum walks the first two batters in the bottom of the fourth, and Matt LaPorta makes him pay with a home run, the first Indians hit of the game. That gives LaPorta home runs in three straight games as the Indians take a 3-0 lead as they bat in the fourth.
