Three Hit Loss

Bronson Arroyo allows just three hits over eight innings, but loses to Milwaukee 3-2. The Brewers hit two home runs, one by Rickie Weeks after a single to tie the game at two in the third, then a solo home run by Jim Edmonds in the eighth to give the Brewers the win over the Reds. With a shutout yesterday, the Reds scored in just one of their last 18 innings.

The Reds fall one game behind the idle Cardinals in the NL Central, two down in the loss column.
